Because its elevation is higher, New London Reservoir is more exposed when the wind is out of the SouthWest or South.
Its a very small body of water, but somehow theres room for everyone to sail.
A parking area designated as "Windsurfers Only" :-)

NOT good when the wind is out of the North.

I 480 West to 10 West
10 West turns into route 20.
Note: DONT exit at the "511 Oberlin" Exit. Stay on route 20 for another 8.2 miles
Left turn onto route 511 South. Stay on 511 South for 11.3 miles
Right Turn onto route 162. Follow the signs for route 162. Stay on 162 for 6.8 miles.
Left turn onto S. Main at the traffic light in downtown New London.
0.1 miles later (1st right) : Right Turn onto Prospect Rd.
The entrance to New London reservoir is 1.6 miles on the right.

Theres a Subway, McDonalds and gas station (for the long drive home) downtown.

Entrance to the park costs $1.50 per person.
