Bradstreet Sea Kaykers
There is plenty of grassy area to rig or dry sails. There's a small rocky beach 100-200 yards long set in a shallow cove. The water stays shallow out for 50-100 yards depending on the lake level.

Bradstreet Landing is about 20-25 minutes west of downtown Cleveland.

Exit I-90 at Clague Road.

* From the west
Exit I-90 at Columbia Road.
Go north on either Clague or Columbia towards the lake until the road dead ends into Lake Road. Turn right. Bradstreet Landing is about 1 mile east of Clague Road and 2 miles east of Columbia. It's adjacent to a condo complex.
About 1-2 miles east into Rocky River there are restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. There is also the Rocky River Reservation ("THE Valley" to locals) where you can rent bikes, rollerblades, or kayaks either at the concession stand near the boat docks down in The Valley or at the Newman Outfitters/Wilderness Shop at the top of the hill on the Lakewood/Rocky River border. Call to check the availability of the gear before you arrive.
Bradstreet's Landing is a small park with picnic tables, grills, a fishing pier and bait shop. Bradstreet Landing is popular launch for sea kayaks too.
Ducks and other waterfowl frequent the small stream that empties out into lake Erie. There is no "official" swimming. Dogs must be leashed. The fishing pier is a very prominent part of the park and is quite large.. Although a wind shift may inadvertantly cause the occasional buzzing of the fishing pier, windsurfers and fishermen generally respect each other's space. The pier can be looked upon as an obstacle or a safety feature. There almost always someone on it (except during the winter when it closes) so if you run into trouble, there's a decent probability someone will see you. Also, the bait shopped is manned in case you run into trouble. The shoreline to the east and west are primarily cliffs with small pockets of beach for emergency landings.
